Weather boards
Today we could get started on the weatherboards first we had to nail them at 600mm or nail them on each stud. We then got a story rod and marked out where each stud will sit. we could then start putting them up we would cut them to the distance and then nail gun them up in the right place. If they had to be fixed next to a window or the end of the wall we would have to pre drill a hole and then nail in a flat head 3 inch nail so it was fixed in the appropriate place.

Soffits
Today we got started on the soffits but first we had to put 50 mm of building paper around the top of the house. We wacked up the ribbon boards and soffit bearers we had to make the ribbon board flush with the little groove in the drain where the hardys sheet sat in and then put the bearers things up.
when we put up the hardys sheet/soffits we would start on one side and put a full sheet up then cut down the other piece we needed. While we were putting them up we would have to be careful not to chip or brake them. I lernt to put them in the gutter/fasica groove first then slide them along to the joins. We would nail them 30o (mm) centers and leave a 20mm overhang on each fineshing end.
